The residential complex

This is a so-called plus-energy residential complex, which means that it is not only energy efficient, but that it even generates energy. The complex offers rooms in 2, 3 and 4-person shared apartments, single apartments, a family apartment and apartments for people with disabilities. There are also many extras available for everyone, e.g. common social areas, study rooms, washing machines, dryers, rental bicycles, bicycle parking spaces and paid parking spaces in the underground garage. Be prepared for its special features

  • The StudierQuartier in the Science Park was built according to the so-called KfW efficiency 40 plus standard. What does this mean? The KfW efficiency standards refer to the energy efficiency of a building. 40 plus means that the building uses at least 40% less energy than a new building that was built according to conventional standards. With the KfW efficiency 40 plus standard, we are thus making an important contribution to the goal of climate neutrality together with the StudierQuartier residents.
  • In practice this means that the innovative building has a very high-quality thermal insulation and that the air exchange in the flats is controlled by a ventilation system. This ventilation system does not operate completely silently. Also, the ventilation system’s air temperature is set centrally for the entire building and can only be adjusted to a small extent in the individual rooms/apartments.
  • The thick insulation of the exterior walls causes the regulation of the interior temperature to take a certain amount of time. Consequently, under special circumstances, e.g. large temperature fluctuations after hot or cold periods, the temperatures in the apartment complex may take some time to adjust.
