Here, residents live at the forest edge, with the city at their feet. The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture, where Nutritional Sciences is also taught, is just a few minutes’ walk from the housing complex.
The house was built in the 1930s for the Hitler Youth Movement. After the war ended, it was used as a boarding home for horticulture students. Osnabrück Student Services acquired the old half-timbered house in 1976, and completely restored the building in 2007. Residents are expected to help out regularly with the gardening.
