Information on whistleblower protection

The Studierendenwerk Osnabrück adheres to the principle of working together with students, business partners and employees in a spirit of trust. Corruption, fraud or other violations of the law have no place here. If you learn in your daily work that these principles are being violated, please report this to us.

Our goal is to comply with laws and regulations. If errors occur, we want to uncover and eliminate them.

The Studierendenwerk Osnabrück complies with the requirements of the German Whistleblower Protection Act and the EU-wide standard for the protection of whistleblowers in accordance with the EU Whistleblower Directive (EU-2019/1937).

In order to implement these requirements, we have set up a whistleblower system with the possibility to report legal violations confidentially. The contact person for reports is the Whistleblower Protection Officer.

Alternatively, you can contact the official external reporting office of the Federal Office of Justice in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act.

 

Whistleblowing system of the Studierendenwerk Osnabrück

The internal whistleblowing system of the Studierendenwerk Osnabrück provides you with various internal reporting channels:

  • by telephone via 0541 600 816 31,
  • by e-mail to hinweis@sw-os.de,
  • by post directly to the whistleblower protection officer with the note CONFIDENTIAL.

Our employees, as well as all other persons who have contact with the Studierendenwerk Osnabrück, can report legal violations via these confidential reporting channels. Reports can be submitted there with your contact details, but also anonymously. All reports are received in confidence. Our Whistleblower Protection Officer ensures that employees or managers of the Studentenwerk do not learn your name unless you have given your express prior consent. Our Whistleblower Protection Officer will send you an acknowledgement of receipt within 7 days, and will inform you within 3 months at the latest of the outcome of the investigation into your report (unless an anonymised report has been made).
